The Electricity consumer unit is just inside the front door, the electricity may be switched off if the apartment has been empty for a number of days.

Hot Water
Hot water is supplied by the electric boiler in the kitchen. The boiler plugs into the mains electricity supply. It has a temperature adjustment on the bottom that rarely needs adjustment.
Cold Water Supply
There is a water valve (stopcock) just outside front door - it is usually closed when nobody staying in the apartment. The valve has a red handle in the photograph below.
The local area water supply is fairly reliable, we have only known the water supply to fail once while we have been staying here.
Electric Sockets
The electric sockets are in the European round pin layout (UK adapters are widely available in UK supermarkets. Amazon example )
